Sofia Shakir Indian Bride Tips Dance Choreography Sangeet

Welcome to another part of What A Bride Needs To Know. You may be a bride or know one who is still going through their wedding planning, and you should not forget, of course, the Entertainment.

What a Bride Needs to Know: Episode 4: Dance, Entertainment, and Choreography

With Radhika of RadhikaHayaDance. She has a passion for dancing from a very young age and has been with various dance group through the years. With all of her experiences and love of the craft, she started to teach dance and provide choreography to couples and wedding performances.

Here are some tips from the discussion:

Add the entertainment part of your wedding program early on in the planning including the theme of the wedding, song playlists, and dance program.

Usually, the wedding planning starts more or so a year before the special day, then contact your choreographer at least 6 months before, so you can arrange the songs, order, and dance practices.

Be mindful of your theme or Sangeet style, but always include a First Dance as a couple for any type of wedding.

Choreographies with Radhika are catered and unique to every couple, she would make sure it is learnable, doable, and comfortable for the bride and groom, and even group performances.

The First Dance is always reserved to be special between the bride and groom, a personal performance close to their hearts. Then the rest of the entertainment can be for the guest as audience in mind.

Try to make your dances and songs interactive so guests can join in, make fun memories, and have chances for incredible snapshots of photos.

Practice, practice, practice. It’s not just getting used to the steps, but also with the outfit, shoes, and accessories, the space, stage, or room, and even in front of a few audiences.

Dancing not just provides entertainment for the event but an actual bonding moment between the couple, and the guests on your special day.

Having a special dance performance, planning about it, and the practice helps you build confidence as the wedding grows nearer and have a fun memorable experience to look back into.

So, if you are planning a wedding right now, have you had your choreographer yet or practiced your dance?
