Getting married soon? Have you got your skincare started?
Now that they’re lifting the restrictions soon and wedding bells are gonna ring once again, here’s a series for bridal tips:
What A Bride Needs to Know: Episode 1 : Bridal Skincare. Join us in our IGLive featuring Dr. Farrah Clinics specializing in skin rejuvenation and aesthetic treatments
and the ZO Skin Health by Zine Obagi.
The Basics:
Cleanser. Double Cleanse if with Makeup. Toner. Moisturizer. Exfoliation up to 2-3 times only. Specific Serums.
You may have a different morning and night routine:
Morning, Include in your basic skincare, Sunscreen or SPF for protection and Vitamin C for healing and boosting.
Night, along with basic skincare is Retinol for treating targeted areas which can cause sensitivity and peeling that is best through when going to rest.
What are ZO Skin Health:
They are a medical grade range of bespoke products for different kinds of skin goals and individualized plans for your specific skin concerns whether they are for aging, acne, rough/dull complexion, maintenance or prevention. They have various sets available to start a proper skincare regime.
Treating Scarring or Hyperpigmentation:
Know first the source of your skin problems whether they are genetics/hereditary or damages through time and let your dermatologist/aesthetician know to prescribe the right treatments or products for you.
For surface old-acne scars, a prescribed exfoliation skincare and medical grade treatments that can fix surface problems.
For deep scars, a treatment of microdermabrasion or or laser treatments from a professional cosmetic surgeon.
For Hyperpigmentation or colouration scars, get prescribed a special skincare set that may incude Retinol and Vitamin C for peeling and proper skin healing.
Help with Acne or Oil-Control:
Besides Hormonal Imbalance, the source of acne or pimple are oil build-up and clogged pores, to tackle this, get prescribed an oil-control regimen that may include salicylic acid for drying up or hyaluronic acid for moisture balance.
Tip to reduce tired puffy eyes for the day of the event:
Always be hydrated and sleep with your head slightly elevated to not let moisture be trapped around the eyes.
Last Minute Fixes for Break-outs:
Just keep your face or skin clean and get prescribed a product with Benzoyl Peroxide to induce drying of the problem areas or acne.
Wedding Skincare Prep:
As discussed with our previous post, it is best to start any regimen or treatments at least a month up to three months before the event.
